US Elections 2016 - Primaries

Postby Maurice » Mon Feb 29, 2016 3:22 am

Super Tuesday is one of the most important date in the US election primary process when each party selects their leader. That day 13 States + 1 Territory are voting, so it can certainly lead to a thrust in the process.

Here are the charts of the main candidates - time of birth are not confirmed for Hillary and Bernie, no time for Rubio

Reds are Republicans, Blue are Democrats

So who is going home, who is marching on?

What strikes me is that the chart of Super Tuesday has a Moon-Saturn conjunction in Sagittarius with Venus and Mercury in Aquarius, and a Sun-Neptune conjunction in Pisces: there is not a lot of grounded energy. It's a good day for ideology and grandiosity to hold sway. Only Mars in late Scorpio will bring the energy down-perhaps way down. Interestingly, several of the candidates have a close Venus-Mercury conjunction mirroring that of the day. The younger ones also both have a morning star Venus, and Venus and Mercury are currently morning stars.

Bernie Sanders chart is very stimulated by the reality dimension influences of Saturn, Jupiter and the Nodes. The Saturn/moon will square his Sun, with an exact square in the early hours of the next morning. His transits reflect the fact that he has to work hard for his votes- his opponent is a household name. Mars on his ascendant could be over stimulating, however magic can happen during a nodal return.
Hillary's chart is also activated by the nodes with the south node and Chiron on her Pisces Moon. As Chiron is prominent in her natal chart, it is a time for her to transmute old wounds so that she may move forward toward her life purpose. Transiting Venus and Mercury square her own Venus- Mercury conjunction suggesting an ability to tap into the energy of the day.
Trump is also in a Chiron transit to his moon and Sun, forming a grand cross with Jupiter. His sun/North node/Uranus could make him the prefect wild card for this out of bounds day (he is certainly playing out his chart) yet I wonder whether transiting Mercury opposing his Leo Mars and ascendant will turn some voters off (as shocking as that may sound).
The day could go well for Ted Cruz as he has the Venus-Mercury right on his North node, squaring his morning star Venus, with Mars activating his natal Jupiter/Neptune.
The transits will hit Marco Rubio's Taurus stellium, however, which may not match the energy of the day. The moon/Saturn will be opposing his Gemini Sun: is he ready for this big step?

well put!

I believe Transiting Mars opposing Sanders's Saturn in Taurus is a huge challenge - showing frustration.

INteresting that Rubio and Cruz also have Saturn Taurus, with Rubio sharing the same Saturn as Sanders - both have the Mars opposition, and have to "grow up" in the campaign approach.

Both Sanders and Hillary have the same Ascendant (none confirmed 100%) which brings both with strong angular Jupiter and Mars transits.

MAY 4 - JUNE 7 US Elections - Following today's results from the state of Indianna, with victories for Trump and Sanders, let us look at the remaining candidates for the June 7 date - with a VENUS/SUN Superior conjunction at 16-17 Gemini - this is the date for the California vote which will be decisive (if any doubt remains until then)...
Interestingly, that date seems most potent for Trump and for Sanders! What are your thoughts?
(See each chart for additional comments)
Trumps emerges as a clear winner on June 7, with the Venus/Sun superior conjunction on his Uranus/NN in his 10th house...that will be a happy birthday for Trump...
However, Retrograde Mars on his IC, square his natal angular Mars shows internal strife, scandals, and betrayal. The Trump camp will remain volatile and controversial.
Image
Sanders surprisingly potent double Sun/Jupiter interplay promises him very strong results, and a possible win - even though it is almost impossible for him to get the nomination technically.
Transiting Mars retrograde opposing natal Saturn shows difficulty with the election system, and a great deal of stress and setbacks.
Caution advised with financial management of the campaign.
Image
Hillary has a strong campaign with Jupiter/NN in her 10th house (though time of birth is not confirmed).
She is not strong on June 7, however gains momentum on June 14, the official date of the Primaries ending - the Venus/Sun superior conjunction will then be on her Uranus.
Mars will station on her South Node...a reboot?

Kasich takes advantage of the Taurus season on his stellium, but doesnt seem to hold strong beyond that.
His South Node is on Trump's Mars, so competition in there, but it seems unlikely that this will win him any point for being chosen as VP.
