What do you think about the upcoming Mars/Saturn conjunction in Scorpio on August 25th'?

Here are all your great answers:

Gali Sat Puran Livneh

Mars conjunction to Saturn emphasizes our battle with the dark side and helps us to confront and challenge the monsters within. We can see death very much present around us lately and in a very cruel and brutal way too. All this violence around us reflects something rotten in the society we live in today. We definitely live in times that we can experience and see how easy it is to make a contract with the devil. We can have at the same time a deep understanding of what is darkness, the polarity of light. It is very essential at this time to have spiritual guidelines, because it can be very challenging to stay in our center and not be poisoned by negativity. It’s a challenge to see all the very graphic video’s and information spread in the media.

Saturn conjunct Mars can also be about righteous actions, thinking that we are doing the right thing, while we’re actually creating more negative karma in service of our personal will. Sometimes we think we fight for the right things, but we let our ego and ambition lead without seeing others on the way or being aware of emotions like anger, jealousy, fear etc. It’s time to have courage to see things as they are, without manipulating, learning to forgive ourselves for our mistakes and instead of acting from fear or a need for revenge, we can learn to trust and forgive. There’s no need any more to serve fear or religious conditioning that are blocking us. We need to learn how to transform our anger and fear into the fuel that generates the engine of creativity and be warriors in service of light.

Venus in Leo square Mars and Saturn (exact on August 26) can bring some challenges to relationships, with ourselves and with others. It can bring to the surface issues of self worth and a strong need to show that we are strong and in control of things. If we want to feel loved but we don’t feel secure enough or love and forgive ourselves, it will only end with more manipulations, aggressiveness and power struggles. We might find ourselves with more repressed anger then before. If you put things on the table and confront your partner, then you will have to also take responsibility for your actions and emotions, and be extra careful not to abuse the other side (or let them abuse you). It might be wise to concentrate on your breath before you do something that you might feel guilty about later. This is the time to work on clearing karma in our relationships.

So work on balancing the lower chakras, turn your sexual energy into a creative power, make sure that you act with the right motivation, being aware of the dark side, face what you need to face, and at the same time try not to sink into depression, or use your actions to hurt others. We have to work on increasing the light and heal the wounds of our souls, personally and collectively.

This Mars Saturn conjunction reminds me of the story from the Bhagvad Gita, coming from ancient Indian literature. This is the story of Arjuna who was a warrior and needed to go on a battle against his family members. He couldn’t find any reason why to fight them, knowing that there are going to be many people who will be killed, but at the same time he understands that there’s no other choice. His cousins chose Lord Krishna’s army to be on their side (the physical realm), and Arjuna chose Lord Krishna himself to be on his side

As Arjuna was debating with himself, Krishna taught him about Moksha - liberation from the ego and the senses, who is the real enemy, who is responsible to all the actions that we take and what is Bhakti – devotion.

Krishna taught Arjuna that when he acts from his ego or pride, his actions will not succeed, but since Arjuna was also a warrior, even if he chooses not to fight, it will be the will of his ego and will serve his fears. The liberation, said Krishna, is to follow your Dharma and act from the will of God by not fighting your true nature. Your devotion will bring the liberation. So Krishna was the one who lead the horses and Arjuna was following the will of God with devotion to the battle. Krishna was teaching Arjuna that he cannot escape from his destiny as a warrior and has to fight.

Choose to be the warrior of light.

This conjunction happens once every 2 years, not always in Scorpio. It depends upon an individual chart. A person, a city, a country, a business, etc. Personally, this conjunction is trining my Moon, Pluto Conjunction in work, and my business and work in Astrology is going off, I've never been this busy. Of course, if you have a cross at 17 degrees in fixed signs you're in trouble. The Universe is always dependent upon the balance of things. It depends upon how this conjunction aspects the chart you are looking at. When these kind of dynamic aspects take place in the sky, I never look to the dark side of the aspect, but keep my intention upon how to use the energy to create love and respect in this world.

Cindy Chamberlin

Well, we have been going through very strong planetary influences with Pluto/Uranus square in Scorpio/Capricorn. The Saturn/Mars conjunction has a very strong Aries quality in general. If we are looking at this in a zero degree manner, anything can happen with this conjunction. The energy of one does not dispel the other. Focus on the energy of the planet. The energies of the planets far outweigh the archetypes of the signs they rule. Planetary energy is very strong. With the energy of the planet Saturn, we may be dealing with strong stern energy, unwilling to yield (as we have seen so-far with mid- eastern forces) And we may be dealing with Mars, abrupt spontaneous energy, that acts before it thinks. This is not a very good combination to me. But maybe a little bit of Saturn wisdom can lend a hand in the entirety of any given situation. As we know, things are supposed to get worse before they get better. I think a strong Saturn and Mars influence always has a strong pulling force. Although, Saturn and Mars are like opposites, they both have that strong-willed pulling force. It will be interesting to see how Aug. 25 comes about? God Bless!

I am hoping it will be a release of the pressure that both Mars and Saturn in Scorpio have been putting on those who have personal planets in the mid-teens of Scorpio. I just got off the phone with a client who has Sun-Mercury at 17 Scorpio and she is feeling bad, hopeless, and said - "time is going by so slowly". I know someone who has Moon at 17 Scorpio and is feeling depressed and hopeless and says he wants to give up his business and go for the simplicity of driving a garbage truck. I tell them that this is the bottom of the barrel time and to rethink their life with what is still viable.

The world situation is terrible and I hope that the Mars-Saturn conjunction will be the nadir of conflict that we see and that things will start to become better and that Jupiter in Leo will help find creative solutions to the standstill between warring sides.

I think it clearly represents what is going on in the world with all the dislocated people, wars, violence and beheadings. Mars is energy and force and Saturn is limitation, when these two planets collide, it is like trying to move forward in a car with the brakes on. You press the gas pedal but your other foot is on the brake. You don’t go anywhere. I think the Mars/Saturn conjunction can bring destruction, damage, and sorrow and it already has in the world.

Alexandra Karacostas

It's an opportunity to focus our intention and attention on what we want to accomplish. This combination can provide endurance, courage and resourcefulness, especially in challenging situations. If this conjunction makes difficult aspects in one's horoscope, it can indicate an inclination towards anger, frustration and resentment. Staying active will help release the tension.

Due to the inconjunt aspect between Mars/Saturn and Uranus it will be important to establish priorities as to what needs to be done. Adopting new ways of doings things can be advantageous though doing so may be met with resistance.

As this conjunction squares Venus in Leo, it will involve how we handle our social responsibilities. The challenge is to be kind to others while remaining true to ourselves and honoring our values.

Saturn and Mars conjunctions are always very intense given that both these planets reflect an uncompromising, defensive, and very physical approach to things. The fact that it occurs in the sign of Scorpio, which in itself represents the dynamics of power, adds to the octane levels…
Coming on strong can lead to breakthroughs, but also backlashes…for example, this configuration is known for reflecting the use of force and for causing physical injury. So, this is a time for “serious business” and perhaps unpopular but firm decisions in our lives need to be made in areas where change is required (Scorpio).

It is also highly militaristic configuration, and we can expect an intensification of military activity across the globe…The Middle East is always activated by the transit of Jupiter in Leo, and with this Mars/Saturn conjunction peaking, we can expect more warfare involving IS and US, as well as Gaza/Israel defensive and aggressive interplay.
Notwithstanding, the fact that Mars/Saturn are in Scorpio brings a need to TRANSFORM the way we use force…This has been highlighted in the misuse of force by police officers in Fergusson, Missouri, causing an intense debate and protest, which in turn now prompts reflection and question about how the police use their authority and implement order (Saturn, Mars, Scorpio). No doubt that this configuration will cause confrontations (Mars) with authority figures (Saturn) and that we will likely witness more scandals around this time. All with the purpose to learn how to better use force and power.

Boaz Fyler

This configuration spells Instant Karma for me, especially in Scorpio. If you act (Mars) out of inferior motives, Saturn (Karma) is there to straighten you out. Scorpio gives this combination an extra explosive and emotional framing.

We should not be surprised we are tired. These days take a lot of energy away from us...Every move we make is like swimming against the current. It is very important we swim now towards our higher goals, and not fall to depression, or let our actions be ruled by our weaknesses and our fears. We have to be careful not let the tension drive us to explosive friction with men, authorities, work relationships and personal ones. These are days that we reap what we sow instantly. The judgment is harsh. On the other hand, if we do work for light, the benefits are instant and generous too. So spend your energy cleansing and taking care of important issues that have been forgotten. Do what you need to do to take your life ahead, as what you start now will have good foundations for the future. So you better start positive things :) Remain calm and nice to the people around you and spread the light.

That's all folks!

Thank you all, have a great month and may the skies continue to chant to us all!
