Alexandra Karacostas, President

Alexandra is a professional consulting astrologer based in Chico, California. She has been an avid student of astrology since 1975 and has practiced professionally since 1984. She has contributed to various publications over the last 20 years and taught classes and workshops. She recently organized OPA’s annual retreat at Asilomar, California. Currently, she writes the Starvine column in the Career Astrologer, and contributes to the Lotus Guide, a publication serving Northern California. In addition, Alexandra is a group leader for ISAR’s Consulting Skills program and a contributing editor for the ISAR journal. Alexandra has also enjoyed a long career in the travel industry, amongst other things, leading small groups to her native land of Greece.

Arlan Wise, Vice President

Arlan Wise, C.A.P., is a professional consulting astrologer who has been in practice for 30 years. She teaches students of all levels. She wrote the astrology column for the Martha’s Vineyard Times for 17 years and continues that forecast on her website- www.arlanwise.com. She is a frequent contributor to the Career Astrologer, OPA’s newsletter. She is a group leader for OPA’s Astrologer’s Retreat where she teaches a Writing Workshop for astrologers. . Arlan has been on the Board of OPA since 1996, serving as Newsletter Editor and Membership Secretary. She recently ended a four-year term as president of OPA and remains on the Board as Director of Publications.

Bob Mulligan, Director of Products and Publications

Bob Mulligan completed his MA in philosophy in 1974. Since then, he has earned his income as a full-time professional astrologer. In addition to seeing clients, Bob operates a four year correspondence school, “The Mastery of Astrology”™, training others to be professional astrologers. He wrote the book “Between Astrologers and Clients” and authored the software program, INDRA.

Bob is a founding member of OPA (The Organization for Professional Astrology). Today he takes an active role in the development of Peer Group Work. In addition to speaking a OPA conferences and retreats he is a frequent speaker at UAC, NCGR, and ISAR conferences. Maurice Fernandez, Community Outreach Director

Maurice Fernandez, author of the books Neptune, the 12th House and Pisces and Astrology and the Evolution of Consciousness—Volume One, is one of the leading Evolutionary Astrologers. Sandra Leigh Serio, Secretary

Sandra-Leigh is a full-time, professional astrologer with a Master's Degree in Psychology. She lives in Boulder County, Colorado. For 25 years, she wrote a weekly astrology column for a major newspaper and has over 30 years experience working with clients all over the United States. Sandra-Leigh is certified by ISAR and AFA as a professional astrologer. She has written for Llewellyn Publications, Horoscope Magazine and StarIQ. Presently, she is President of the Rocky Mountain Astrologers (ROMA) and is the Secretary and a Group Leader for OPA (Organization for Professional Astrology).

Christine Ferraro, Membership Secretary

Christine Ferraro has been an enthusiastic student and practitioner of astrology for over 30 years. She has a passion for learning and sharing the knowledge and understanding she has gained and is in the process of establishing her own professional practice. Christine is a member of OPA, NCGR and AFAN and lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, their dog and two cats.

Alice Kashuba, Treasurer

Alice is a personal facilitator who utilizes astrology to guide clients on a path of self-discovery and problem resolution.

As an administrator for 15 years, Alice has supervised research projects, facilitated problem solving, and managed department finances. She has counseled individuals encouraging them to move up the ladder of self improvement into more suitable positions.

Alice has a Master’s degree in education and is a Certified Astrological Professional (CAP).

She is past President of the South Florida Astrological Association (SFAA) and served as Treasurer on the Boards of the Organization for Professional Astrology (OPA), and the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR).

Alice writes articles for Keyhole, the monthly newsletter of SFAA. Published book The Fairchild Symbols. In addition to her consulting practice, she has lectured for astrological associations in Florida.

Alice lives in Hollywood, Florida with her husband, Ed. The housefold is under the rulership of an orange tabby named Kittee.

Dvora Weil, E-News Director

Dvora is the OPA Enews editor and a psychotherapist with a PhD in clinical psychology. Her specialty is couples and individuals in relationship. Dvora have been studying astrology for 35 years and is proud to incorporate the astrological chart in the therapeutic process with her clients. "It enriches my work and deepens it immensely," says Dvora.

Dvora's mission is to introduce astrology to the public through teaching and lecturing. (Ninth house Sagittarius – of course). She is starting to teach in the adult education department in the American Jewish University in Bel Air California the combination between astrology and psychology.

Dvora came to the US from Israel 20 years ago. She lives in Calabasas California with her husband.

Twink McKenney began studying yoga and astrology in 1985. She held the position of Vice-President/Program Planning for the Berkshire-Fairfield Chapter of NCGR in Connecticut for 13 years before coming on as editor of The Career Astrologer. In addition to her astrology work, she has a graphic design business with a studio in her home in Southbury, CT. She also offers Hatha yoga classes where she weaves astrology and yoga together using planetary placements and moon phases to inform and guide the class.

Ron Archer, Webmaster

Ron has Uranus conjunct his MC, so the combination of astrology and technology is a perfect fit for the OPA Webmaster. Ron has been studying astrology for eight years and has worked in technology for over fifteen years. Ron has been a member of OPA since 2006. Ron is also an active board member in his local astrology club, the South Florida Astrological Association. In addition to the SFAA and OPA, Ron is also a member of the NCGR and the AFA.
